Oscar's Baptism - St Barnabas, Fendalton, 15/12/02
Clare's sister Sarah decided to come over from Perth for a visit and to see Oscar.
We had already asked her to be a god parent so it seemed like an opportune moment to get
Oscar baptised.
We asked my nephew Andrew to be the other god parent. Although he is at the younger end of
the scale, at 12 years old, he is a really good lad and shows great responsibility and maturity when
called upon.
With Sarah arriving on December the 12th and staying for a week, the only Sunday available was
coincidentally the day of our 1st wedding anniversary. It was quite a nice thing to
actually be back at the church where we got married on the same day. The weather on the day
reminded us of our wedding day too, just beautiful
Oscar was really good through out all the service except the baptism itself, in which he cried a bit,
then again he was the youngest of the babies there by one month being only 6 ½ weeks.
