Photos of Baby Oscar at Home

Oscars 25th day of life - Lots of relatives visit on the Sunday

Just 22 days old - More fun at the Gym - Today the soft toy sun grabbed his attention for ages

Just 17 days old - He's not meant to be smiling yet, but he sure looks like he's enjoying the baby gym
- Still, I suppose it could be wind making him do those faces

Here is a picture of a Mobile I made for Oscar - the star on it was given to us but the rest I made from scratch - there was a website that had the black and white patterns on it for the mobile. Click here to go to that website for instructions and here for the .pdf pattern.   New born babies are still coming to grips with this thing called sight and the building of a brain that can interpret it.

The most stimulating things are:

  1. High contrast areas. (hence the hard edges on the black and white patterns - and they can't even see colours when first born!)
  2. Movement.
  3. Patterns.

All of which the mobile provides.

Photos of Oscar in his first two weeks at Home

Just 1 week old - already alert and having fun (when not sleeping!)

10 days old - Bath time, He barely fits in diagonally when his wee froggy legs are stretching out

12 Days Old - Feed time and burping - he looks drunk after a good feed
